Live Catla – Fresh from Pond to Plate

Live Catla is among the freshest fish you can expect to taste. In fact, many people say the flavour is best when the fish is cooked a day after procurement, as the taste becomes even richer.

The fish is produced by local fishermen through aquaculture in the ponds of North Bengal. It is transported overnight to the Siliguri wholesale market and reaches our central facility early in the morning. We cut, clean and pack the fish and deliver it to you on the same day. There is absolutely no storage or refrigeration involved – freshness is guaranteed.

Pricing and Weight Details

• The final price depends on the size of the fish delivered to you.

• If you pay in advance, any difference in amount (higher or lower) will be adjusted at the time of delivery.

• Each delivery includes the full fish, cut into pieces, including head and tail.

Special Conditions for Live Catla Orders

1. Whole Fish Only – You cannot buy a portion of the fish. The entire fish is delivered to you, properly cut into pieces, along with the head and tail.

2. No Delivery on Market Holidays – Live Catla cannot be delivered on days when the Siliguri wholesale fish market is closed, such as Sundays and major holidays.

3. No Returns – Unlike most of our products, Live Catla cannot be returned once sold. This is because we do not store live Catla. If you decide to cancel the order, the fish will simply be wasted. Hence, there is no cancellation policy on this fish.

4. Not Delivered Alive – We receive the fish alive in our facility, but by the time it is delivered to you, it is already dressed, cut and cleaned. While the fish is no longer alive, the taste clearly reflects its superior freshness.
